Auld Brewer Mazengarb & McEwen now have an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) located in their reception area for use in an emergency. An AED is a portable electronic device that is used in cases of life threatening cardiac arrhythmias which lead to cardiac arrest.
While we hope that it will never be used we have made sure that, if it is required, almost half of the firm’s staff have been trained in its use.
While it is of benefit to the firm’s staff and clients, the other tenants in the firm’s building have been told that it is available and the office location has been listed on the AED locations website (www.aedlocations.co.nz) in case other people need to use it in an emergency.
From that same website you can download an application for your smart phone that once loaded will help you find the nearest AED in New Zealand to your current smart phone location.
