Women in Leadership
On Monday 06 November 2017, Cynthia Brophy, CEO of the Human Rights Commission came up from Wellington especially to speak at our Women in Leadership event which a large group of women attended and were inspired by.
Cynthia shared her career journey which began in the turbulent days of 1960’s USA de-husking corn in Illinois and includes emigrating from the USA 33 years ago where she has worked in high profile communication roles in New Zealand Airways, Transpower and other government organisations. Two of Cynthia’s key messages were the importance of choosing good people to build a good team and having a mentor to help you grow.
February 2018 - guest speaker and date to be confirmed.
Women in Leadership events provide an opportunity to network (while enjoying good food and drink), share stories, and give and receive help and support. We enjoy speakers from diverse backgrounds who inspire and encourage their audience with their experience of leadership.
