Around the Mountain Cycle Challenge 2016

On 30 January 2016 ABMM’s cyclists participated in the Around the Mountain Cycle Challenge.  The Cycle Challenge has become recognised as one of New Zealand’s premier cycle event taking 148km of Taranaki scenery as the cycle route circuits the Mount Taranaki.  Over 1100 cyclists participated either as solo riders or as part of a relay team.  ABMM entered two relay teams (one team of six, and one team of three), and for some of us it was our first time participating in a road cycling event.  Special mention to Oscar Anderson (11), who completed the 35km Okato to Opunake leg with his Dad, Garry Anderson.
