Four Taranaki Girls Lead The Way

All Female Admission To The Bar Ceremony


Samantha Hunt, Amelia Bowers, Emily Butler and Breanna Morgan were admitted to the bar in the High Court at New Plymouth on Tuesday morning. 

All four girls were born and bred in Taranaki before studying at Victoria University of Wellington for five years.

Justice Robert Dobson said it was incredible to see an all women ceremony, not including him, with the moving Counsel all women as well as the president of the Taranaki Branch of New Zealand Law Society Caroline Silk.
